10 Bible Verses on Thankfulness

It is the season of giving thanks. Give thanks to the God who is there for us always and we really do not serve all of the blessings we get daily. God really shows up for us always and I am so grateful for Him seeing me when He did. When God called me I was broken and casted out. I felt so much shame and definitely was not in gratefulness when I was found as I was lost and straying. Now that I have been on my faith journey for about seven years, I have learned that being thankful is an important part of being a Christian. It is important to understand God’s presence in your life. This will be the only thing you have to rely on when you are going through a hard season. To see what God has done in your life is a blessing each and every day. Practice thankfulness each day so that your heart can be filled with it. Never forget to be thankful for God. Here are 10 scriptures to help you through those times.

Psalm 106:1

Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!

Ephesians 5:20

Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

Colossians 3:15-17

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Psalm 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 30:12

That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

Ezra 3:11

And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel.” And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

Peace & Blessings,

Toni
